my story
I am on a constant path of exploring the mind, body and spirit.
Our five senses work in concert with one another; when one of our senses is dimmer, or out of commision, our other senses pick up the slack by becoming more attuned and capable. Our other senses essentially take the lead.

I was born with congenital cataracts. Until recently, I could only see around the cataract in my right eye, with only a glimmer of light in the left. I’ve had a few corrective surgeries in my life. The most recent surgery in 2015, was successful in removing the cataract from my right eye. While around me my world has changed dramatically, with the ability to take in more of my surroundings through that one eye, I still primarily move through the world leading with my senses of hearing, smell, taste and touch. My keen sense of touch continues to augment my sight and helps me negotiate the world more easily.

Just as before the surgery, my practice remains a steady experience of the body, brain and spirit. I discern, connect and understand, by what I think of as, seeing through the hands. I resonate deeply with bodywork. Practicing therapeutic massage allows me to lead with the most sensitive tool I have, my body.

I believe when we embrace our differences instead of trying to conform, we brighten the world. I am celebrating my difference by offering it to you in the form of therapeutic bodywork. I also celebrate my difference by bringing my senses and awareness to my therapeutic yoga practice and mindful movements offerings.

In 2020 I got certified as a NeuroScultping® facilitator. The full brain and body approach of NeuroSculpting® drew me in like a magnet. Practicing the 5 steps of NeuroSculpting has given me more tools and enabled me to show up as my best possible self. NeuroSculpting® took my meditation, and self care practice to a deeper and more full place. As I witnessed my practice transform, I realized that I’d already begun (unofficially) incorporating NeuroSculpting® into my work with my beloved clients and community. Now as a certified NeuroSculpting® facilitator, I love sharing the full body and brain approach of NeuroSculpting®. I work with the 5 step mediation entrainment practice one-on-one or with a group. I’ve been incorporating it into therapeutic bodywork, private and group yoga classes, and wellness coaching. Getting certified during the pandemic feels like divine timing to me. It’s a gift to be able to help people balance their nervous systems in this super unpredictable time.

I recently moved from Brooklyn, New York to St. Joseph, Michigan, and am currently offering my services virtually, through Zoom sessions, and in person at my body brain balance studio.
I am full of gratitude for this new step in my wellness path, and am very excited to share it with you!
